Yin yoga takes us into stillness and softness, creating space to slow down and reconnect. It’s a slow, gentle style of yoga. The poses are lying down or seated, and we use blocks, bolsters and blankets to support the body. Yin focuses on stretching the deeper tissues (joints, ligaments and fascia), helping to improve flexibility, release tension, and promote relaxation. It’s calm, meditative, and a lovely complement to more active styles of movement.
A sound bath is a restorative experience where you rest comfortably while being surrounded by gentle, resonant sounds from instruments such as crystal bowls, gongs, and chimes. The vibrations help to settle the body, soften mental chatter, and create a sense of deep calm.
A drum circle is a wonderful opportunity to come together and explore the rhythm of the drum. It’s a collaboration, rather than a performance – no experience needed. Our drum circles are lead by sound practitioner Sonia Norman. She sets the theme and the rhythm and everyone else joins in as and when they want to. You can bring your own drum if you like, but Sonia has plenty of drums, rattles and chimes for you to try.
