Eva Paoli – yoga & Pilates teacher, owner of be:well studio
Nearly everyone has a story of what they did before becoming a yoga teacher. I spent my 20s working in publishing, and loved it – the creative people, the deadlines, messing about with words… Then I had children, moved out of London, and life took a completely different direction.
Alongside parenting, I spent my 30s acquiring new skills. First, I trained as a massage therapist in several disciplines. Then I trained in baby massage and baby yoga – it was such a special thing to offer, and I loved providing a safe, social, and welcoming space for mums and babies.
In the process of training to run baby classes, I reconnected with my own yoga practice. I stumbled into Tracy Gaillie’s wonderful class at the local community centre, felt my body crunch and creak through a gorgeous practice, and by the end I felt like a different person. It was a revelation.
I qualified as a yoga teacher in 2012, but the training course habit has lived on. It keeps me engaged, curious and inspired. I’ve studied children’s yoga, yin yoga, antenatal and postnatal yoga, yoga therapy foundations, meditation, menopause yoga, and finally… APPI Pilates, a style of Pilates that was developed by physiotherapists, emphasizing evidence-based techniques adapted from original Pilates for rehabilitation and injury prevention. I’ve since done further training in postnatal Pilates and Pilates for the pelvic floor, which have provided invaluable insight into working with all bodies, especially one-to-one.
Yoga and Pilates are both great ways to move your body, and they can both make you feel stronger, more flexible, and most important of all, better – calmer, less anxious, more grounded… When people ask me which they should do, the best answer I can give is this: the one that you like the most. If you want to create a new habit and feel some sort of change in your life, then you need to find a movement medium that you enjoy enough to keep coming back to.
As well as offering group classes at be:well studio, I provide one-to-one sessions, blending yoga and Pilates as needed to support individual needs. It’s a pleasure and a privilege to support people as they find their way to better physical and mental health, and I delight in seeing my students’ improvements from week to week.
So, one way or another, I hope to see you on the mat. Pilates, yoga, yin yoga, group classes, one-to-ones… Try a session, and find out how it makes you feel.
Immi Wynn – yoga teacher
My approach to wellbeing centres on the whole person – not just how we move, but how we feel. Blending science, lived experience and intuition, I create spaces where clients can reconnect with their body, breath and sense of self.
With a background in Sport Science and clinical exercise, including cardiac rehabilitation, I bring depth, understanding and intention to my teaching. Alongside my 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training, I’m also qualified in Personal Training, Reformer Pilates and Mat Pilates, providing a well-rounded and informed approach to movement.
My work is also inspired by a love of nature, travel and movement. As an outdoor adventurer, trail runner and surfing enthusiast, I see wellbeing as something to be lived, felt and experienced.
My classes are warm, inclusive, and non-judgemental. Whether you arrive feeling strong or in need of support, you’ll always be met where you are.
At the heart of my teaching is a simple intention: to help you feel more connected, more energised and more at home in yourself.
Alongside my group classes at be:well, I also offer private, 1:1 yoga sessions – a personalised space to go deeper, move at your own pace, and work on what matters most to you.
